Dr. Rajan Gupta
Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, Dr. Gupta completed a 4 year honors degree in Human Biology from the University of Toronto with a 2 year research grant from the Banting and Best Diabetes Center at Toronto General Hospital. Subsequently, Dr.Gupta received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Western Ontario in London.
Dr. Gupta has been practicing in Norfolk County full-time for over 20 years and is an active member in the Simcoe and Brantford dental societies, the Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. David Holmes
Dr. David Holmes was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. He studied at the University of Western Ontario where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and subsequently attended Case Western University where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree.
He enjoys all fields of dentistry, and is a current member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Holmes has been part of the Donly Dental team for over 10 years.
Dr. Holmes is an avid sports enthusiast and maintains playing hockey and golf on a regular basis.
Dr. Darren Kaplan
Dr. Darren Kaplan graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Dentistry in 2006. Upon graduation he was selected to participate in a one year dental residency program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he gained valuable experience in surgical and emergency dentistry. Dr. Kaplan has been practicing dentistry with a special focus on surgery, particularly wisdom teeth.
While not in the office Dr. Kaplan enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is kept very busy by his two daughters. He enjoys an active lifestyle, taking part in various sports and activities. Dr. Kaplan has a very gentle and caring approach to dentistry and is excited to be a member of our team. He is looking forward to meeting you and making your dental experience a positive one.
Dr. Thelam Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Western Ontario and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University Of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. Following graduation, he practiced in his hometown of Kitchener/Waterloo for 20 years before joining Burlington and now Simcoe.
Dr. Jonathan Lok
Dr. Jonathan J. Lok is a dental anesthesiologist who provides sedation and general anesthesia to dental offices in the GTA and beyond. His patients include young children, anxious or phobic patients, those who have had negative dental experiences in the past, people with severe gag reflexes, others who have difficulty with ‘freezing’, the mentally or physically challenged, or those patients who require extensive or uncomfortable treatment.
Dr. Lok graduated from dental school at the University of Toronto in 2001 and in 2004 completed his dental anesthesia training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He is recognized by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario as a Certified Specialist in Dental Anesthesia.
He is a part-time clinical instructor in the graduate dental anesthesia program at University of Toronto and was the secretary of the Canadian Academy of Dental Anesthesia from 2007 to 2008. He is one of the few dentists in Canada who has extensive training in sedation and general anesthesia.
Dr. Lok is patient, compassionate, and caring, and strives to create a safe and comfortable environment for you or your child.
Christine
Christine graduated from Niagara College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2002, and has been working in Simcoe since 2010. She is committed to providing a high level of treatment and care for her patients while developing lasting relationships.
She also focuses her hygiene practice on treating and preventing periodontal disease. Christine enjoys nature, travel and making stained glass.
Stephanie
Stephanie grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Hygiene school in 2009.
She takes pride in ensuring each patient is well looked after and has a positive experience at Donly Dental.
Her passion for the dental field drives her to continuously improve her knowledge through ongoing education courses and personal development.
Stephanie now lives in Simcoe and enjoys all of the beauty that Norfolk County has to offer.
In her spare time, Stephanie loves to travel and finds joy in all aspects of nature with an active lifestyle through yoga and biking.
Sandeep
Sandeep is a proud graduate of Oxford College’s Dental Hygiene Program, class of 2023. Since joining Donly Dental in Simcoe in June, he has been dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. He resides in Haldimand County.
Outside of work, Sandeep enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching sports, and exploring new destinations through travel. His passion for dentistry and commitment to patient well-being make him a valued member of our team.
Val
Val was born in Chile, raised in Hamilton and resides in Haldimand County.
Val comes to Donly Dental with many years of dental experience and prides herself on a gentle approach and dedication to educating patients about oral health.
Val thrives on helping individuals achieve their brightest smiles through personalized care and advanced hygiene techniques.
Outside of the office, Val enjoys spending time with her children and friends. Val enjoys music, art, sports and going on walks with her dog.
Alecea
Alecea is a Registered Dental Hygienist and proud graduate of Niagara College. She is committed to providing thorough care while educating patients on the importance of oral health.
Alecea is known for her friendly and approachable manner and strives to create a comfortable experience for every patient.
Outside of the office, Alecea enjoys spending time with family, travelling and attending live music events.
Samantha
With over 10 years of experience as a graduate from Georgian College, Sam has joined Donly Dental eager to continue her career in preventive dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Sam has a passion for patient education and providing effective and efficient care while always making sure her patients are comfortable.
In her spare time, you can find Sam baking, crafting or finding a new walking trail with her family and labradoodle, Pippen!
Christi
Christi grew up and still resides in Haldimand County with her husband and two sons. She joined Donly Dental in January 2022 as a business administrator and receptionist. In her free time she likes to go to the cottage and spend time with friends and family.
Christi is currently the Office Manager at Donly Dental.
Jen
Jen was born in Simcoe, raised in Brantford. She received her level II Dental Assistant certificate from Fanshawe College in 2007, and has experience within orthodontic and general dentistry. She obtained a Bachelor of science in Nutrition from the University of Western Ontario in 2014 which further strengthened her skills to combine both her interests in health and well-being. She recently completed a post graduate certificate at Fanshawe College in Human Resources in 2023, which aides in her role as a member of our front desk administration.
Outside the office you would find her with a book or in her flower garden!
Catherine
Catherine has worked in office administration for 20+ years with a background in Dental Assisting. She is compassionate and caring when looking after our patients.
She is a new resident to Simcoe and loves living and exploring the Norfolk area. When not working she enjoys hiking and biking on the Lynn Valley trail with her husband, Paul and dog, Tony.
Yvonne
Yvonne is a graduate from the Level 1 CDA program at Fanshawe College in London, she has been employed in the dental field ever since. She has been working with Dr. Gupta at Donly Dental as well as the Union St Dental office in Simcoe for the past 16 years.
In her spare time she likes to read, garden and spend time with friends and family.
Laura
Laura graduated as a Certified Level II Dental Assistant from Westervelt college in 2021. During schooling, Laura did her co-op at Donly Dental and has become full time since.
She enjoys shopping, baking, trying new recipes, and going out for coffee with friends.
Young
Young graduated with honours from the Dental Assisting Program at the National Academy of Health and Business, Hamilton in 2018. Young is fluent in English and Korean.
Her goal is to make patients feel comfortable and ensure they have a positive dental experience. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with family.
Sidney
Sidney joined Donly Dental in 2024 and comes to us with 3 years of dental administrative experience. Sidney enjoys helping patients by making sure all of their dental care needs are met and has a passion for overall health and wellness.
In her spare time, Sidney enjoys reading, going to the spa, and competing in strength training competitions.
Sarah
Born in Brantford and raised in Norfolk County, Sarah is a dedicated dental professional who graduated from Anderson College School of Health. She completed her internship at Donly Dental and has been a valued team member ever since.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, shopping, and cherishing moments with family and friends. Her commitment to patient care and passion for dentistry make her an essential part of our practice.
Sara F
As a Certified Level 2 Dental Assistant, Sara is committed to delivering attentive care and helping patients maintain healthy smiles. Her friendly approach helps patients feel relaxed and care for during their visits. In her spare time, Sara likes spending time with her dog and a book!
